FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How are reviews produced?

Each manuscript goes through our structured review process: the full text is read and analyzed, every factual claim is verified against your manuscript, and the finished review is personally checked and approved before delivery. We describe the process openly because the honesty of it is the point.

How long does it take?

Within 72 hours of receiving your manuscript, depending on length. Most manuscripts under 30,000 words are delivered within 48 hours. If we ever expect a delay, we will tell you before you order.

What formats do you accept?

DOCX, PDF, TXT, and EPUB. If your manuscript is in another format, ask us and we will usually find a way.

How long can my manuscript be?

Up to 100,000 words per order. Longer manuscripts can be split across multiple orders.

Will you just tell me my book is great?

No. We will tell you what is working and what is not, with specific passages quoted from your text. If your book is strong, the review will show why. If it needs work, you will know exactly where.

Is my manuscript kept private?

Yes. Your manuscript is used only to produce your review. It is never shared, published, or sold. We will only mention your book publicly (for example, in a short blog blurb) with your explicit permission, and we anonymize by default.

What do I get, exactly?

A written review delivered as PDF and DOCX, covering characters, plot and structure, pacing, continuity, theme and style, plus a prioritized list of the fixes that would help most.

What is your refund policy?

If we cannot review your manuscript for any reason, you receive a full refund. If you are unhappy with the review itself, contact us and we will make it right.

Do you review poetry or academic papers?

Not yet. We currently review fiction and narrative nonfiction. Poetry collections and academic papers with peer-review style feedback are coming soon.
